Nicolas Jackson reveals advice from Sadio Mane about playing under new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino. Nicolas Jackson has revealed he sought the advice of Sadio Mane before moving to Chelsea and got a glowing appraisal of new boss Mauricio Pochettino from his compatriot. The 22-year-old completed a £30million move from Villarreal on Friday off the back of a breakout campaign in La Liga which saw him end the season with nine goals in his last eight games. Jackson had already been the subject of interest from Bournemouth and Southampton in the January window prior to his hot streak – though failed a medical with the former – and there were a host of clubs queuing up to sign him this summer. But it was Chelsea who won the race, with Jackson now revealing that he consulted Senegal team-mate Mane before making the decision. Although the Bayern Munich forward has never played under Pochettino, they have a shared history with Southampton and Mane was full of praise for the Arge...

Right now, my goal and my attention is focused on Roma: we want to finish the season strong,” said the English striker. “I still haven’t started thinking about anything other than being here and doing my best. I’m not in a hurry. Maybe I’ll stay at Roma for the next ten years, or maybe not. You never know what’s around the corner,” added the 25-year-old. “Mourinho? He is a legend. I love him. He’s what we call a real boss. He is a leader. When he speaks, you listen to him. He knows how to manage his men, he is o...

Chelsea set set for another injury boost as 22y/o returns for Brentford game after recent setback. Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is to be handed an extra option in attack ahead of the game against Brentford. Chelsea striker Armando Broja who was left out of the 2-2 draw against Arsenal after picking up a knock in training is back ahead of the game against Brentford this weekend. The striker recently returned from a knee injury that kept him out for almost a year and he scored on his first start in the league at Fulham. The 22-year-old also started the game against Burnley before the international break and only picked up a knock on international duty when he travlled to Albania to play for his country. Chelsea in front row to sign Barcelona starlet - Player expected to be worth over €100M.

Chelsea in front row to sign Barcelona starlet – Player expected to be worth over €100M. In case Chelsea are really interested in signing Gavi from Barcelona in the upcoming transfer windows, the Catalan media shares some interesting news on that situation. Newspaper Sport has a story claiming that as the Camp Nou side need a big sale to revive their economic situation, they’re deciding who should go. Gavi and Pedri are said to be in the front row, since they’re the two with the ‘most offers’. Chelsea are one of the clubs said to be interested in Gavi, who’s expected to be worth over €100m in case of a sale. Barcelona are obviously reluctant about losing their young stars, as they have huge importance in the team. So the whole situation is described as a big ‘taboo’ as the club’s board decides what to do. Back in August, the very same Sport had already claimed that Chelsea, as well as Paris Saint Germain, were interested in Gavi’s signing. It seems the talks didn’t go forward in the su...

Marc Cucurella skills vs Ben Chilwell skills: Who is better for Chelsea? Who should start Chelsea games?

Image
Since taking up the RB role after Reece James picked up an injury, Marc Cucurella has proven to be an effective substitute for the club and has given every Chelsea fan some ray of hope and happiness over his failed transfer to Manchester United over the summer.  In all his recent starts for the Blues, the Spaniard has shown class, and is now considered undroppable in the Chelsea squad.  Against Arsenal in particular, he had a splendid evening. Marc Cucurella won more duels (7) and made more tackles (5) than any other player in the first half vs. Arsenal.  While no player made more ball recoveries (6). 💪 For the majority of the evening, the Spaniard dominated the battle down that side, with Arsenal fans surely imagining that to be an area where they could have exposed their opponents. Ben Chilwell on the other hand has always been great for Chelsea. Strong and solid at LB, he forms a great partnership with the squad from his role. However, since his injury setback, ...

Jose Mourinho reacts to Chelsea's late-minute tie against Arsenal.

Image
As Chelsea Manager in the past, Jose Mourinho held a special record against Arsenal.  Chelsea were held to a late-minute tie against Arsenal in what was obviously a sealed win for the Blues  as they were 2-0 up till the eightieth minute. Goals from Declan Rice and Trossard secured the equalizer for Arsenal - ending the London Derby in a tie, a result that made the Chelsea fanbase fume in fury.  One-time Manager, Jose Mourinho of course would not be left out in surprise at the turn of events in the game.  Mourinho's record against Arsenal, particularly Wenger is impeccable. They've faced each other 11 times during his two spells as Chelsea boss, and Mourinho has never lost. Six wins and five draws speak for themselves. Whatever it is, Mourinho has it over his old adversary, Arsenal. Therefore it will come as a stunning surprise for him to see Pochettino fail to beat a side he once dominated hands down.  It remains to be seen if Poch can capitalize on the re...
